Buffalo in Bloom

Buffalo in Bloom is an all-volunteer program of Buffalo Green Fund dedicated to beautifying public spaces through horticulture.  Buffalo In Bloom’s work can be found at Niagara Square, Shoshone Park, and the Tyler-Winspear Community Garden, among many others.

After identifying an "in-need" public space, Buffalo in Bloom works with community members to get moving on the basics of gardening for urban spaces. Buffalo Green Fund’s role in Buffalo In Bloom projects often includes:

  • Landscape design
  • Selection of proper species
  • Education on proper mulch and care for gardens
  • Equipment rental and purchase of plant material
  • Recruitment of volunteers

In short, Buffalo in Bloom works alongside community volunteers to make our public spaces more beautiful.  If you’re looking to get involved or have a space that might partner with Buffalo In Bloom, please get in touch below.
